Finding Miracles in the Mess and Madness of Life
The Westside United Church of Christ Theological Forum welcomes New York Times bestselling author and former Plain Dealer columnist Regina Brett to speak on Saturday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m.
Regina Brett will speak about how to find holiness in the holes of life. The Dover Congregational United Church of Christ will sponsor the morning talk at 2239 Dover Center Rd., Westlake, OH 44145.
Too often we look for God in the holiness, in the rainbow and unicorn moments. But God is often found in the holes of life, in the messy, broken parts.
Regina will talk about how we all have that power to have our souls magnify the God and the good in all things, even in the messes and mistakes around us.
Regina, who writes inspirational columns for the Cleveland Jewish News and was a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, is the author of God Never Blinks, Be the Miracle and God is Always Hiring. Books will be available to purchase for her to sign.
To register, contact: Dover Congregational UCC, Virginia Lockmeyer at 440-871-1050; or vlockmeyer@doverucc.org
Registration fee costs: $ 25 and includes Regina’s message, Q/A and lunch.
The event is co-sponsored by Avon Lake UCC, Dover Congregational UCC, First Church UCC-Oberlin and Pilgrim Congregational UCC.
